How to Install Inside Mount Blinds or Shades
Position the first bracket at the upper corner of the window frame, flush with the wall surface. Refer to your product manual for exact placement, especially if your blinds include a decorative valance.
Mark the screw holes with a pencil.
Repeat for the second bracket at the opposite corner. Use drywall anchors if you’re mounting into drywall without studs.
Use a steel tape measure or level to ensure both brackets are evenly aligned.
Drill pilot holes slightly smaller than your screws at the marked spots, then securely fasten the brackets.
Slide the headrail of the blinds into the brackets and lock it in place by closing or snapping the brackets, based on the design.
Test the blinds by lowering, raising, and rotating them to confirm smooth operation.
